Best Self Emptying Robot Vacuum and Mop
You should consider this option if you want a machine that can automatically empty its own trash bin and mop without needing your input. It also comes with a range of mapping features and Alexa integration.
The robot comes with a substantial price tag but is great for keeping up with the daily messes and dust. It features advanced programming for efficient obstacle avoidance and it can be set up to create areas to mop or vacuum in various rooms.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
This mop and vacuum robot is a combination of a stylish robust design with the latest in robotic technology. Its powerful smartphone app helps you manage routine maintenance, such as emptying the tiny dust bin and cleaning the mop pad between use. It connects to an auto-emptying platform that cleans and emptys it after each cleaning cycle. It is among the few robots equipped with these features and performed well during our tests.
Roborock redesigned its S8 Pro Ultra from last year's model, with a focus on improving the vacuum's ability to avoid objects and boosting its cleaning power. The result is a more efficient, reliable and cleaner machine. It is equipped with a stronger suction motor and two rubber rollers on its floorhead. This makes it ideal to pick up dirt and pet hair from carpets and bare floors. Its battery is now rated to last up to 180 minutes and it supports scheduled charging for lower electricity costs.
The robot's RockDock Ultra docking stations are the most significant changes. They go beyond emptying and clean their contents after every cleaning cycle. It also cleans the mop pad, and then dry it using warm air. It also refills its reservoir of water. This feature sets it apart from its rivals since it decreases the amount of time and effort required to maintain it.
The S8 Pro Ultra comes with an easy-to-use set-up. It requires a Wi-Fi connection in order to download its companion app and connect it with the docking station, which comes with an additional mop pad as well as a power cable. You're now ready to get your hands dirty.

In our tests, we observed that the S8 Pro Ultra was able to remove the majority of the surface debris and embedded dust on medium-pile and bare floors. Its power to vacuum is a bit below our top choice, which is the Roomba j7+ by iRobot however it's a powerful and versatile machine worth your time.
The app can be used to create a 3D-map of your home, set no-go zones, and plan specific cleaning times. The app shows you a running record of cleaning times and area coverage, allowing you see the performance of each room and area. You can assign a specific cleaning mode for each area. You can also include voice control on your Echo device or smart speaker if you own one.
2. IRobot Roomba J7+
The Roomba j7+ robot vacuum is a great alternative for anyone looking for a self-emptying vacuum which can also mop. The model utilizes iRobot's Imprint Smart Mapping Technology to create the floor plan of your home so that it can clean rooms as efficiently as possible. Dirt Detect helps the robot concentrate on areas that are messy, and Reactive Sensor Technology helps it to avoid obstacles.
The j7+, as with other iRobot products, can be programmed to start cleaning when you're away from home and stop if it's not done. It can be controlled via the iRobot App or smart speakers that support Alexa and Google Assistant. It responds to voice commands better than the majority of competing robots such as the $599 self emptying Neabot NoMo NoMo N1.
In addition to allowing you to control the robot using a either a smartphone or remote as well, the iRobot Genius app makes it easy to set up the j7+, establish an agenda, and fine-tune other settings. It can even guide new users through the onboarding process that will help the robot learn their home and map out its cleaning space.
The j7+ has an extra-large dust bin than the other self-emptying robot vacuums we've tested. It can hold more debris, but you will still need to empty the bin every seven to eight month (or more frequently if you have pet hair or large debris). iRobot sells filters and bags that can be replaced separately.
The j7+ also features a front-facing camera that is designed to assist the robot in avoiding hazards like power cords and pet waste. The camera isn't as effective in low-light conditions and you might think about a rival that has superior cameras, such as the Roborock S7 MaxV.
Finally, I was happy to see that the iRobot automatically empties its dust bin into the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal once it is docked. This is a major improvement over the majority of competitors who require you to open and empty the bag manually. It's a minor detail, but one that will save you some time and frustration.
3. Ecovacs Deebot T10 Omni
The Deebot T10 is a sleek robot that delivers impressive cleaning performance. It has a 5000Pa suction and comes with dual-sided brushes and floating brushes to remove dirt from corners and hard floors. It has a robust battery that powers both mopping and vacuuming, with the ability to return to its dock when it's in power shortage. Smart features include the home map, 3D mapping and automatic cleaning schedules.
Like other Deebot models The T10 Omni has an additional cleaning tank to clean and dry mopping pads in order to prevent cross-contamination. The T10's cleaning tank can hold up to 4L of clean water, which can cover around 400m2. It is designed in a way that allows it to be refilled and drained without touching the pad or getting wet.
The T10's smart mapping technology is one of the features that sets it apart from other robot vacuums. It creates a detailed 3D map of the arrangement of your home. This enables the robot to identify obstacles more precisely and adapt its course, enhancing the overall effectiveness of cleaning.
The ECOVACS App is easy to use and comes with a variety of customizable settings. The only drawback is the lack of an remote control. This could be a problem for certain users.
The T10 OMNI does an excellent job of cleaning pet hair. It was able to remove the majority of the hair from my carpets after two cleaning cycles, and was able to maneuver through furniture that was blocking its route.
Although it's not as hands-free as the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the T10 Omni remains an excellent choice for those looking for a self-emptying vacuum and mop. The mops have the same power as the vacuums, and it comes with a more appealing design than Roomba. The T10's intelligent features compensate for the absence of the remote. With the application, you can easily start and stop a cleaning process. You can also schedule it and change device settings.
4. Shark ION SX
Shark's top self-emptying robot vacuum The ION XL is an excellent option for those who want hands-off cleaning with a high level of performance. The robot vacuum has an enormous bin that can hold a month's worth of dirt, and the base can be programmed to automatically empty it at the end of every cleaning session for longer-term storage. The ION XL robot vacuum is one of the most versatile on the market. It can clean carpets and hard floors. It can be controlled via an app or voice commands and you can also create a map of your house to clean every room on demand. The robot is also able to maneuver around furniture and can move through carpeted and stairs easily.
I tested the ION XL using our standard test for debris in a family room and kitchen with hardwood floors and area rug. It did an excellent job cleaning up debris and pet hair from the floors, and even took care of some of the more difficult crumbs that accumulated on carpets. It was also good at maneuvering and didn't bump into my bar stools like the iRobot J7+ did in this test. The only issue with the ION XL is that it cannot detect cords, shoes or toys that are within its path. You will need to clean your home prior to when you run this robotic vacuum to avoid them.
The ION XL isn't as smart as the iRobot J7+, but it is an excellent alternative if you don't wish to spend more than $500 on a robot cleaner. It's better than the less expensive RoboVac 11S in most ways, including being easier to maintain and incurring lower recurring expenses. It's also superior in vacuuming floors that are not clean and picking up pet fur, but it isn't as effective on carpets with a low or higher-pile carpet.
It's not as well-built, but it's still a solid option. robot vacuum self emptying is a powerful machine with a huge capacity bin. It can be operated by an app or a voice command and is easy to maintain. It's also a great price.
